Over his 34 years of practice, Mr. Moore has handled over 100 death cases, including driving fatalities, coroners' inquests, juveniles who kill, shootings by police, and more traditional forms of homicide. He is 1 of only 3 attorneys in Eastern Washington who is “Death Qualified” to handle trials involving aggravated murder cases where the death penalty is sought.

In 1999, the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (WACDL) bestowed upon Mr. Moore the coveted The William O. Douglas Award. Recognizing extraordinary courage and dedication to the practice of criminal law, this award is the highest given by WACDL. Mr. Moore was also recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. This honor is limited to not more than 1% of lawyers licensed in any given state.
